World Book Online Encyclopaedia
Kirrawee P.S. has access to World Book Online. World Book Online is an online resource developed especially for young students. The site is optimised for tablets and features image-based navigation, easy-to-read articles, thousands of images and videos as well as a wealth of engaging games, science projects, and activities.
Your child has been given a username and password to access World Book Online. If your child is unsure of the account details, please speak to your child’s teacher or myself.

Using Oliver and Orbit
Oliver is the Schools computer based Library system. It is equipped with an easy to use search and display facility for both students and staff.
Alternatively, students can access Orbit which is similar to Oliver, though it is tailored for younger users with more of a visual display.
Log on via the Department of Education Library Portal below. If you do not know your log in details, please contact your classroom teacher

Students can choose to use either Oliver or Orbit. Via both tools, all students can:
- search for all resources in the Kirrawee PS library
- review their current loans and their loan history,
- reserve, renew items
- check to see if a book is overdue,
- save/email search results
- find links to other interesting sites
- add book reviews
- create and customise interests so results can be tailored for you
- search by "click and pick" using infographic tiles ( Orbit only) and
- personalise the screen by changing the background theme and their avatar (Orbit only).
